🛡️ All students who are members of the Student servis of the University of Zagreb Student Centre, with valid membership, are insured against the consequences of an accident (injury) under a policy issued by UNIQA osiguranje d.d. ZAGREB

Before enrolling, you need to check whether you have basic health insurance. You can check at ezdravstveno.hzzo.hr.

The insurance commenced on 14 February 2026, lasts 365 days and is renewed every year. It covers the following insured risks:

1. DEATH DUE TO ACCIDENT
2. PERMANENT DISABILITY DUE TO ACCIDENT
3. MEDICAL TREATMENT COSTS DUE TO ACCIDENT
4. DAILY COMPENSATION DUE TO ACCIDENT 20,00 eura

🧭 STEP-BY-STEP PROCEDURE IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT

In case of an accident while travelling to work, at work, or while returning from work, the student, a member of the Student servis of the University of Zagreb Student Centre, should:

1. Go to a doctor urgently so that treatment can begin as soon as possible.
2. The student should ask the employer for a confirmation that an accident occurred. This document must contain at least: employer details, student details (ID card number and contract number are mandatory), date of the accident and a brief description of what happened, the employer's stamp and signature, place and date.
3. Also, collect details of any witnesses and eyewitnesses to the accident, especially if the injury caused or could have caused permanent disability.
4. After the treatment is completed, bring all documents (medical history, confirmation from the chosen doctor regarding temporary incapacity for work, disability assessment – if applicable, employer's confirmation of the accident, student's statement about the accident and a brief description of what happened, the Student Employment Contract for the month in which the accident occurred, labour inspection report – if applicable, police report – if applicable, etc.) to the Student servis in Zagreb, office no. 7, on the second floor at Savska 25, to report the workplace injury.

In office no. 7 of the Student servis, the student is referred to the occupational health and safety officer, where they will fill in the Accident (Injury) Report Form, Adriatic osiguranje d.d., which, together with the remaining documentation (medical history, findings, disability assessment, employer's confirmation, etc.), will be forwarded to Adriatic osiguranje d.d., while the Workplace Injury Report (certified by a general/family medicine doctor) will be submitted to HZZO, Mihanovićeva 28, 10000 Zagreb.
