Reduction of the Points Threshold for Subsidised Accommodation in Student Dormitories
Reduction of the Points Threshold for Subsidised Accommodation in Student Dormitories to:
1,335 POINTS
FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC YEAR
Students are requested to select one of the available options in their personal web profile, in accordance with the notice and the email they have received, regarding either accommodation in a student dormitory or the exclusive use of the subsidy for accommodation with a private landlord.
Students who have been granted the right to accommodation following the reduction of the points threshold and have selected the student dormitory accommodation option may move into the student dormitories from 6 October 2026 to 13 October 2026.
Students who have been granted the right to accommodation following the reduction of the points threshold can view their student dormitory allocation on their personal web profile from 6 October 2026.
Students who have been granted the right to accommodation in a student dormitory may move in only upon presenting a certificate of a completed medical examination!
Exceptionally, students who do not undergo a medical examination with a school or university medicine physician may have the examination carried out by their general practitioner at their place of residence. With this certificate, they may temporarily move into the student dormitory until they complete the examination with the designated school or university medicine physician.
Upon moving in, residents are required to pay the monthly accommodation fee, which will be recorded as an advance payment. The advance payment is equal to the monthly accommodation fee applicable to the accommodation category and room assigned to the student.
Due to the renovation of accommodation facilities (Pavilions 5 and 6 at Student Dormitory Stjepan Radić), 906 subsidies of €152.00 per month will also be awarded to students who fall below the points threshold, in accordance with the quotas set by the MZOM, under the following conditions:
- According to the final ranking list, 6,097 students are eligible for accommodation in a student dormitory.
- The first 906 students below the cut-off line are eligible for a subsidy of €152.00 per month towards accommodation with a private landlord.
- Students who have been granted the right to accommodation in a student dormitory are not eligible to receive this subsidy.
- Students who are granted the right to a subsidy after the points threshold is lowered to their score may move into a student dormitory; however, they will lose their entitlement to the subsidy from the month in which they move into the dormitory.
- The next student on the waiting list may continue to receive the subsidy for accommodation with a private landlord from the following month.
- Students accommodated in student residences for secondary-school pupils are not eligible for the private accommodation subsidy, as such accommodation is also subsidised by the MZOM.
