5th STUDENT CHESS TOURNAMENT
14. 03. 2024. – STUDENT CHESS TOURNAMENT – SAVSKA CESTA 25 – THE UNIVERSITY OF ZAGREB STUDENT CENTRE – DEPARTMENT OF SPORT
Held away from the previous four, which took place in SD "Stjepan Radić", the "5. STUDENTSKI ŠAHOVSKI TURNIR" was held in the foyer of the University of Zagreb Student Centre cinema at Savska 25. On 32 chessboards, chess enthusiasts among female and male students showcased their skill and flair for strategic moves. Through the Swiss system of play, with a time control of 5 minutes plus three seconds per completed move, we eagerly awaited the final 9th round to find out the most successful players.
As before, the tournament was open to residents of student villages, students on graduate, doctoral and specialist postgraduate programmes, students on the Erasmus programme and those who graduated in the 2023/2024 academic year.
