🏛️ Right to use the online service

The online enrolment option is available to students studying in the Republic of Croatia and current-year school leavers in the process of enrolling at a faculty 💻
Students studying at a higher education institution outside the Republic of Croatia cannot use the online enrolment option and may only enrol by visiting Student servis in person 🚶

🩺 Health insurance check

Before enrolling, check that you have basic health insurance.
You can check on the ezdravstveno.hzzo.hr website.
If you do not have insurance, you need to regulate your status at the relevant HZZO branch office according to your place of residence.
Foreign students must have compulsory health insurance in the Republic of Croatia or a European Health Insurance Card. More information is available on the HZZO website at https://hzzo.hr/en/national-contact-point-ncp/health-insurance-republic-croatia

🏛️ Checking entitlement to student work

By logging in with your AAI@EduHr electronic identity to U Informacijski sustav studentskih prava – ISSP, check whether you meet the requirements for performing student jobs.

🔐 Processing of personal data

By presenting documentation and providing personal data, you consent to the University of Zagreb Student Centre using the data for the purposes of the competent institutions, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act of the Republic of Croatia.

📝 The following documents are required for enrolment:

🎓 Students

Certificate (confirmation) of student status for the current academic year or an electronic student status record (E-građani)
Identity card for inspection
Two small photographs
Personal giro or current account (contract or bank confirmation) – we do not accept a giro/current account card, as recommended by commercial banks
Persons who have completed their studies must provide a copy of their diploma or a confirmation of graduation
Students with residence in the Republic of Croatia who study outside the Republic of Croatia must provide a confirmation from their home higher education institution, certified by a sworn court interpreter and translated into Croatian
A person who does not have a registered residence in the Republic of Croatia must register a temporary address and, in addition to the above documents, submit a confirmation of temporary address registration

🌍 Foreign exchange students at a higher education institution in the Republic of Croatia (foreign nationals studying at higher education institutions in the Republic of Croatia, student exchange, ERASMUS, ERASMUS+ etc.) must meet the same enrolment requirements as students who are citizens of the Republic of Croatia studying in the Republic of Croatia. Membership is granted in accordance with their student status in the Republic of Croatia and the approved temporary residence.

Within the education system, they are entitled to perform student jobs during their study stay and/or professional practice within formalised bilateral exchange programmes, inter-faculty, inter-university and other similar agreements in the field of higher education with higher education institutions in the Republic of Croatia, under the following conditions:

The person must be a student, as evidenced by a confirmation from the (foreign) higher education institution they come from,
The student must be on professional practice within a higher education institution in the Republic of Croatia, and the higher education institution in the Republic of Croatia must have them registered in its student records and be able to issue a confirmation to that effect,
There must also be some form of official document for the purpose of student exchange between the two higher education institutions

🎓 School leavers

A copy of the final-year secondary school certificate or the school-leaving certificate
A printout of "Moji Rezultati" for the study programmes applied for in the summer round, or a state matura exam registration from the Postani student portal
Identity card for inspection
Two small photographs
Personal giro or current account (contract or bank confirmation) – we do not accept a giro/current account card, as recommended by commercial banks

Under the Act on Performing Student Jobs, another person (school leaver) may exercise their rights for a maximum of three months from the end of the school year in which they completed secondary education, and for persons who in the meantime enrol in a study programme, membership is regulated in the same way as for other students.

🔄 The following is required for membership renewal:

Certificate/confirmation of student status for the current academic year or an electronic student status record (E-građani)
Persons who have completed their studies must provide a copy of their diploma or a confirmation of graduation
Complete the Declaration

ℹ️ Notes

Student servis pays student earnings into a personal giro or current account.
To register a personal giro or current account in the Student servis database, a bank contract or bank confirmation is required – we do not accept a giro/current account card, as recommended by commercial banks.
If a student has changed their giro/current account, they must bring the new one (bank contract or confirmation for inspection).
On the basis of the above documents, the student receives a Student servis ID card within a few minutes, which serves as the identification document of a member of Student servis of the University of Zagreb Student Centre in Zagreb.

🔔 Change of status

The student is obliged to inform Student servis of any changes to their status, whether they have graduated, withdrawn from their studies, become employed, or in any other way lost their status and thereby lost the right to employment on the basis of a Student Job Contract.
Status is checked through the ISVU and ISSP systems, and the home institution provides student data.
If the data are recorded incorrectly, the student should contact the student office of their home institution.

👥 Members of Student servis (Act on Performing Student Jobs, Official Gazette 96/2018, 16/2020))

1. A student is a person

a) who is enrolled in an undergraduate university programme, an integrated undergraduate and graduate university programme, a graduate university programme, a short professional programme, an undergraduate professional programme or a specialist graduate professional programme at higher education institutions in the Republic of Croatia

b) who is an exchange student at a higher education institution in the Republic of Croatia, or

c) who is a citizen of the Republic of Croatia, a citizen of an EU Member State, the European Economic Area or the Swiss Confederation with residence in the Republic of Croatia, studying at a higher education institution outside the Republic of Croatia,

and who is not in an employment relationship and/or does not perform an independent activity of a craft, a liberal profession and/or agriculture and forestry. Within the meaning of this Act and the regulations governing income taxation, full-time students and part-time students who are not in an employment relationship and/or do not perform an independent activity of a craft, a liberal profession and/or agriculture and forestry have equal rights and obligations.

2. Another person is a person in the process of enrolling in a study programme or a person who has completed a study programme at a higher education institution in the Republic of Croatia and is not in an employment relationship, or an EU citizen with residence in the Republic of Croatia who has completed a study programme at a higher education institution outside the Republic of Croatia and is not in an employment relationship.

Under this Act, another person may exercise their rights for a maximum of three months from the end of the school year in which they completed secondary education, or after graduation for a maximum period until the end of the academic year in which they completed their studies or until the expiry of three months from the completion of their studies.

📜 Requirements for performing student jobs (Art. 10 of the Act)

(1) A student may conclude a contract for performing student jobs (hereinafter: the contract) during their studies from the date of enrolment at a higher education institution.

(2) The right to conclude a contract may not exceed double the duration of the study programme at the first and second level.

(3) The intermediary may mediate for a student enrolled in the current academic year who earned at least 1 ECTS credit in the previous academic year.

(4) The requirement referred to in paragraph 3 of this Article does not apply to a student enrolling in the first year of study or a student who had a justified interruption of study in the previous academic year.

(5) The intermediary may not mediate for a student who has changed their study programme twice and is enrolling in the first year of the same level for the third time.
