„Dr. Andrija Štampar" (hereinafter: the Institute) will be accepting documentation for accommodation in single rooms in student dormitories on medical grounds for the academic year 2025./2026.

The deadline for submitting applications and medical documentation is 29.8. 2025. godine.
STUDENTS ARE ASKED TO INCLUDE THEIR PERSONAL DETAILS ON THE APPLICATION (first name, surname, address, e-mail address, phone number) AS WELL AS THE FACULTY AT WHICH THEY ARE STUDYING.
The aim of the procedure is to draw up a list of students ranked by the severity of their health difficulties, excluding those with contraindications for accommodation in single rooms in student dormitories.
The procedure is carried out by a Commission of school-medicine specialists.
Who may submit an application
· pupils who completed secondary school in the current school year (first-year students, first application for a dormitory)
· students of faculties and higher-education institutions
The Commission will establish a list of students ranked by the severity of their health difficulties and a list of students for whom accommodation in a single room is not recommended due to medical contraindications. The lists will be forwarded to the University of Zagreb Student Centre, which will publish them on its website (in alphabetical order, to protect student privacy).
Objection to the Commission's decision
A student who is dissatisfied with the expert opinion of the Commission of school-medicine specialists of the Institute may lodge an objection within 8 days of the publication of the student list

The Expert Board of the Service for School and Adolescent Medicine reviews the objection and, following the procedure, issues an expert opinion within eight days of receiving the objection.
The opinion of the Expert Board of the Service for School and Adolescent Medicine of the Institute is sent to the person who lodged the objection at the e-mail address stated in the objection, or by registered post to their address of residence/temporary residence.
The expert opinion of the Expert Board of the Service for School and Adolescent Medicine is final.
Priority for accommodation in single rooms is given to students with more severe health difficulties, ranked accordingly, for whom staying in a single room will make it easier to manage their condition, provided that independent accommodation does not put their own health at risk.
(Diseases and conditions for which accommodation in single rooms is not recommended due to a potential threat to health and/or life include: epilepsy, diabetes, heart problems, recurrent syncope, vertigo, and other diseases and conditions for which the Commission determines that contraindications for the requested accommodation exist.)

Medical examinations for accommodation in student dormitories
(academic year 2025./2026.)
The medical examination for accommodation in a student dormitory is carried out for the purpose of identifying health risks associated with living in a communal setting. It consists of a medical history and a targeted examination, as well as any additional tests deemed necessary by the physician.
Senior-year students who have been granted the right to accommodation in a student dormitory in the academic year 2025./2026. may have their medical examination carried out at the relevant school and adolescent medicine clinics, as listed in the attached list.
First-year students have their examination carried out by the school physician responsible for the secondary school they graduated from.
Students are asked to book their examination appointment at the clinic by telephone.
