eRačun introduced for tracking food subsidy spending

Digitalisation of the higher education system is key to raising the quality of student standards. One of the steps towards digitalisation is the introduction of software support for automated sending of notices to students via email. Srce uses this newly developed system to enable fast and reliable delivery of various information to students that is important for student life.

The first implemented functionality of this system relates to notifying students about their subsidised student dining consumption via the so-called eRačun.

By introducing the eRačun, Srce has significantly improved the way students can track their dining subsidy consumption, reduced the possibility of misuse of student ID cards and manipulation of items and receipt contents, and enabled real-time tracking of subsidy consumption. Specifically, after each transaction in a subsidised student dining restaurant, students will receive a notice at their registered email address containing all relevant details about the transaction just made. Thanks to eRačun, students can keep a personal record of their expenses. Email notices allow for easy archiving and review of all transactions at any time.

Enabling eRačun is a simple process that requires the student to log in to the ISSP portal and select the option "Slanje obavijesti" located on the left side of the personal data section, Figure 1.

One of the key features of the system is the possibility of personalisation. Students can at any time:

  • Change the email address to which they wish to receive notices.
  • Withdraw their consent for receiving notices, after which the sending of notices will be discontinued.

It is important to note that students can withdraw their consent at any time, which will stop them from receiving notices at the registered email address. Institution administrators and student office staff under whose jurisdiction the student falls do not have access to modify the email notice sending functionality. Their role is limited exclusively to viewing data that shows whether or not the student has given consent to receive notices.
